Working to shore up program slippage
While tackling the problem of iodine deficiency has been a global public health success, it’s clear that the work of ensuring adequate iodine nutrition for all is not yet done. IGN is working on new ways to gather and use data to support this goal. New, less expensive and highly-effective tools are needed, both to improve monitoring of salt iodization programs and to understand the iodine status of population groups.
